Empowering Families, Strengthening Communities
MISSION:
The Collaborative for Family Education is committed to fostering thriving families and communities through outreach initiatives and education. We are dedicated to dismantling structural *-isms while advancing equity for all individuals and communities. We strive to provide holistic support across diverse environments – encompassing home, school, work, places of worship, and community spaces – to heal and empower individuals facing various challenges. Through collaborative efforts with partner organizations, we aim to equip families with the tools and resources needed to overcome real-life obstacles, foster resilience, and prevent a range of issues. Together, we're building a network of support that empowers families, educates communities, and creates lasting positive change for all.
VISION:
We envision a future where families receive unwavering support and vital resources from their communities, schools, and workplaces, irrespective of background, beliefs, gender, ability, or sexual orientation. In this future, families are empowered to navigate life's challenges with resilience and confidence, knowing they have access to the tools and assistance needed for success. Through collaborative efforts, including free family, educator, and community training, we aim to create environments where families are at the center of community initiatives, schools are hubs of support and learning, and workplaces prioritize the well-being of employees and their families. Our vision is of a world where every family feels valued, supported, and equipped to thrive in all aspects of life.
Family / Community / Teacher Education: Family, community, and teacher education plays a pivotal role in fostering strong bonds, creating supportive environments, and empowering individuals to thrive. It equips families with the knowledge and skills to navigate challenges, builds resilient communities through shared values, and empowers educators to shape the future by nurturing the minds and potentials of the next generation. Through continuous learning and collaboration, family, community, and teacher education contribute to the holistic development of individuals and the creation of compassionate, informed, and thriving societies. Joining this community not only shows your support of families in education and the community - but it also connects you or your organization to newsletters, trainings, webinars, activities, and resources. The links and tabs above will connect you to our resources and membership pages.
SPECIAL EDUCATION ADVOCATE / CONSULTANT FOR FAMILIES AND SCHOOLS: TCFFE is dedicated to empowering families and schools by providing expert special education advocacy and consulting services. We are committed to ensuring that every child receives the individualized support they need to thrive academically and socially. Our team of experienced advocates works closely with families to navigate the complexities of special education, from understanding IEPs and 504 Plans to securing appropriate services and accommodations. We also collaborate with schools to build inclusive environments and develop effective strategies that support diverse learning needs. At TCFFE, we believe in bridging the gap between families and educational institutions, fostering a community where every child has the opportunity to succeed.
YOUTH TRANSITIONS: This program provides pathways and resources for young adults to achieve independence through career exploration, post-secondary training, work readiness, self-advocacy, work-based learning, social skills counseling and more. If you are a parent or young adult, or a Colorado transition specialist, reach out! We would love to connect!
THE 11:11 RANCH: The Collaborative operates the 11:11 Ranch. We are a non-profit and all of our ‘ranch hands’ and helpers are youth from the local community. We adopt animals from rescue facilities throughout the state of Colorado. A fun, interactive way to learn about animals and agriculture, the Ranch can be both educational and therapeutic! Care providers and circles of support have free access to our rescue ranch! If you are involved with youth in crisis...reach out. We would love to connect.
FOSTER CARE SUPPORT: Programs to provide financial assistance and mentoring to young adults who have ‘aged out’ of the foster care system.
We are a 501c3 non-profit and all donations are tax deductible.

Strong Families = strong organizations and businesses = Strong Community
The collaboration of many parts of the community such as the businesses where the parents work; the schools, child care centers, and programs where the children participate; and the organizations like places of worship, foster care agencies, community centers, and libraries where they connect and engage leads to a successful circle of support for the foundation of our society – the family.
Families are an important part of the community: they are part of every organization, business, agency, and school.
The Collaborative for Family Education (TCFFE) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving connection between organizations such as schools, child care centers, corporations, employers, non-profits, government, places of worship & the families they serve. This collaborative effort ensures that families are supported by their community and are using all of the community resources offered, so that they can be strong foundations for our society. We help families develop knowledge and skills that improve well-being and strengthen all relationships.
Support the families in your organization!
The goal of Family Life Education is to support family members across the lifespan, and foster positive individual and family development, so families can function optimally. They feel supported. We all thrive.
Collaborating (working together) and increasing clarity is the key. Both families and educational services are interested in efficient and results-oriented communication. Family education and connectedness helps staff, families, and members of your organization or circle feel supported by giving everyone a voice. Whether a school needing to connect with families, businesses supporting their employees, or community organizations furthering their outreach, the family is the foundation of our culture.
Specific TCFFE outreach support services include monthly newsletters, articles and blogs, training videos, individualized support, live-online workshops, and community resources.
“Everyone” includes parents, educators, and any staff of your organization or business…EVERYONE has access to valuable and practical training, workshops, tips, information, and resources that will increase a sense of belonging – leading to more satisfaction, loyalty, and productivity.
We collaborate with other organizations to bring you the most up-to-date and innovative information and programs. Here is an example of our collaborative efforts with leaders in the family/school/community world.
