SUMMER CAMP 2025

Campers get to play, explore, and learn.  We will have a mix of academic / learning activities, free play / free choice, and teacher-led options to include art, science, exploration, and fun. Besides the rotating learning stations, we'll have games, crafts, art supplies, legos, building stuff, and playdough to explore.

MONDAY -

8:30 - 9:00 Drop off at 500 E. Kelley's, Woodland Park 80863

Outside meet and greet = sidewalk chalk, playground, parents sign in, turn in paperwork (bring water, sunscreen, and lunch if staying!)

9:30 - Round everyone up, go inside, make nametags. Do the name game around the tables to get to know everyone

10:00 - Morning fun / games / activities, table tops, puzzles, playdough

10:30 - Outside for snack (apples and goldfish), play, jump ropes, Chinese jump ropes, sidewalk chalk

11:00 - Inside for story telling dice game, around the circle reading / writing, canvas art, weaving

11:45 - Get ready for lunch - wash up

Campers can play with a variety of activities while we are working  on the planned activities.  We'll have stations and activites set up to ensure that everyone is engaged. This week is full of Art projects, markers, crayon resist, seasonal art with tape and canvas, sewing, building with popsicle sticks, glueing, and crochet / yarn braiding.

MONDAY -

2:20 - Inside and finish up Tie Dye shirts, play with the sensory sand, find rocks for tomorrow (pet rocks), do some SHARPIE Tie Dye

1:15 - Find rock from yesterday - PET ROCKS / Painted Rocks :) (wear clothes that can get paint on them.  We are using acrylics.)

2:00 - Quick snack and outside play time (Apples and Goldfish)

2:20 - Inside and finish up Pet Rocks,  - make and decorate the pet container boxes (name...etc) , fill out the birth certificates for the rocks. 

3:00 - Finish up - go outside for play

2:20 - Inside and experiment with color mixing / food colors and how different foods "color" differently.  Make the rainbow with just three colors. Painting the rainbow.

12:50- Head inside, wash up - Nature's First Aid kits - they will make their own first aid kits - and learn some basic first aid. Practice first aid and learn about some great ways to stay safe in the wild (and on the playground)

2:30 - Chart the first aid needs, finish making their first aid kits, label, write names, learn what the items are for.  Practice first aid (slings, splints, etc.)

For Robotics week, we have a variety of electronic pieces and robotic kits...they are AWESOME!  I will update the week's activities once I see how we are going to divide up the groups.  We have lego robotic kits and lots of small kits that the children are going to experiment with!

9:30 - Round everyone up, go inside, talk about sports, rules, and game variation.  Writing, playing, getting ready for fun outside. Hydrate. Plan for obstacle course / help build it - all week project. 

10:00 - Go outside, create the obstacle course, have some fun with soccer, jump ropes, and volleyball

10:30 - Stop for snack (apples and goldfish), play, jump ropes, Chinese jump ropes, sidewalk chalk, bubbles

11:00 - Inside - regroup for games.  Figure out strategy for team.  Table top, minute to win-it games.  Try to make new rules, new games. P

11:45 - Get ready for lunch - 

12:00 - Lunch and transition to afternoon.  Morning pickup complete by 12:30

While this week has a focus on adventure and sports / games, we will also have art, board games, puzzles, and other non-sporty type activities for everyone to enjoy.

MONDAY - 

12:00 - drop off at 500 E. Kelley's Road, Woodland Park, 80863 - we'll be outside finishing up lunch and playing (bring water, sunscreen!) 

12:50 - Head inside, wash up. Work on obstacle course.  We will work on this all week.  Start working on filling water balloons for water ballon toss.

1:45 - Snack and outside play time (Bananas and Nilla Wafers)   - build obstacle course.  Do water balloon toss.  Pick up popped water balloons. 

2:45 - Head inside - to clean up - hydrate. 

3:00 - Finish up - go outside for play

3:30 - last pick up.

TUESDAY - 

12:00 - drop off at 500 E. Kelley's Road, Woodland Park, 80863 - we'll be outside finishing up lunch and playing (bring water, sunscreen!) 

12:50- Head inside, table top games, plan for volleyball tournament, soccer tournament.

1:30 Outside to play - tournaments and fun FREE ART / CRAFT TABLE

2:00 - Snack and outside play time (Apples and Goldfish) -

2:30  - Head inside - hydrate. Play some minute to win-its, work on the board games.

3:00 - Finish up - go outside for play

3:30 - last pick up.

12:30 - Head inside, wash up - cool off. Rules for capture the flag - be sure everyone is counted and taken care of (older and younger)

2:00 - Snack and outside play time (Grapes and Wheat Thins), jump ropes, games

2:45 - Head inside to hydrate, clean up.  Decide on games for tomorrow - inside or outside.

3:00 - Finish up - Split (some will want to go outside for play, some will want to stay inside and play games)

3:30 - last pick up.
